On April 12th, according to the latest retail sales statistics of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), sales of new energy vehicles (NEV) in the Chinese market in March were 185,000, representing an increase of 239.6% over the same period last year, and a 90.9% month-on-month increase. The cumulative sales were 437,000 vehicles from January to March, indicating an increase of 302.9% over the same period last year.
In the sedan segment, the retail sales of Tesla Model 3 in March were 251,327, and the cumulative sales were 52,858 from January to March.
In the premium SUV segment, the retail sales of Tesla Model Y in March were 101,151, and the cumulative sales from January to March were 16,422. The retail sales of Li ONE in March were 4,900, and the total sales were 12,579 from January to March.
In the overall NEV market, the top 3 sellers in March were Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y. From January to March, the top 3 selling models were Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, Tesla Model 3 and BYD Han EV.
